Orgachim restarts the resins production at the factory in Ruse, after investing 3.6 million Euros

Ruse, May 8th 2014

Policolor-Orgachim Group, regional leader in the technological process of resins, varnishes and paints in the South – East European area, restarts the productions of resins at its factory in Ruse (Bulgaria), after investing 3.6 million Euros in the modernization and reconstruction of the plant.

With an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons, the factory will provide feedstock for resin, varnish and paint manufacturers across Europe, but also for companies that activate in other fields, such as mechanical engineering, automotive components, furniture, equipment for wind energy, etc.

After the incident in 2012, that affected not just the company and the resins output but the entire community of Ruse, we stand before you today with great results and great news. We are glad that in such a short timeline we have achieved a double performance: to reinstate an important asset of the group and build one of the most modern production facilities of its kind in Europe. Our effort to rebuild the factory was not focused only on the reconstruction process but also on investing in the most advanced technologies
Ion Florescu, Chairman of the Board of Policolor Orgachim Group

The reconstruction of the resins factory, one of the most important assets for the Policolor-Orgachim Group, included an extensive plan of modernization, automation and control for industrial processes, the share of this expense in the total investment exceeding 65%.

Resuming the resin production will have an immediate impact on Policolor-Orgachim’s accelerated business growth, and will help meet the group’s medium and long-term business objectives. Therefore, when we started rebuilding the factory we primarily chose to make a leap forward in quality and efficiency.
Marius Văcăroiu, CEO Policolor-Orgachim

The modernization program was conducted over a period of approximately 15 months and it included collaborations with worldwide leading suppliers. Among them there were also world renowned companies, such as Siemens, Festo, Samson and JUMO from Germany, Eaton, Donaldson and Emerson from the USA, Danfoss from Denmark, etc.

The new resins plant is equipped to the highest European standards. We have the most efficient supply and distribution system for electricity in Bulgaria and the best automation and control equipment system installed in a resin factory in South-Eastern Europe, which allows the simultaneous control of 10.000 parameters. We acquired the best modern warning and fire extinguishing system, and equipment that reduce technical losses, offer a more efficient use of electricity and contribute to environmental protection. Throughout the reconstruction process we have worked with over 20 subcontractors in Bulgaria.
